Frequently asked questions...
How are the Ambassadors chosen and by whom?
Two Junior Ambassadors will be chosen by the same judges that the Senior Ambassadors are chosen by. The Junior Ambassadors start with a fun event at Medina Entertainment Center were the judges just sit back and watch the girls interact among each other. They may also ask them questions here and there but nothing to in depth. Maybe like, “What is your favorite color?” They also have a personal interview and introduce themselves at our Meet the Candidates event during Rockford River Days.
How many events does my daughter have to attend if selected?
The minimum cities visited is 4. We keep it local such as Hanover, Delano and Buffalo. However, they can attend as many as they want. A group favorite is the Anoka Halloween parade where they get to dress up. They help at fundraising events such as our annual princess party. We also have them attend a few local meetings such as city council, Rockford River Days and a Lions meeting to thank them for their support.
How much does it cost?
To become a candidate the cost is $25. This includes a fun night out to meet the judges, a candidate t-shirt and a sash to use during candidacy. If your daughter is selected as one of the Junior Ambassadors she will receive a formal crown and sash, a professional photo shoot, $125 wardrobe allowance, a $50 Target gift card and a special gift.
